Courts Getting started
Welcome to Courts Unbound, a 21+ alternate-universe roleplay set in the world of A Court of Thorns and Roses. The courts of Prythian are real. The people are yours. No canon character exists here.
1 · Read
- #rules: the rules. Staff rulings are final.
- Setting: what happened, and what is happening now.
- Courts: the seven courts, the courtless and the outlaws.
2 · Verify your age and account
This server is 21+, and Discord accounts must be six months old. Open a ticket in #submit-a-ticket and pick Age Verification. A younger account needs a member with @Approved Player to vouch for you in that ticket, or a censored ID shown to staff. Until then you hold @New Arrival: you can read, chat in #waiting-room and #general, and draft your character.
3 · Pick your roles
Ping, romance and spectator roles are in #roles.
4 · Make a character
- Read Character Creation, then Abilities and Ranks.
- Want to start above Sworn, or use a reserved power? Read Claims and claim before you write.
- Open a post in #character-profiles with the pinned template. Tag it WIP, then Pending Review when it is done.
5 · Get approved
A @Lorekeeper reviews your post. Once approved you receive @Approved Player, your allegiance role and your tier role.
6 · Play
- Open your ledger in #upgrade-ledger and your purse in #market.
- Find partners in #looking-for-rp, join a mission on #mission-board or a saga on #saga-board.
- Finished a thread? Post it in #thread-inbox for Renown, Marks and progress.

Discord Roleplay QoL Tips – Faster RP Workflow
CTRL + K (Quick Switcher) Opens a search box you can type into right away. Type a thread, channel or DM name, hit Enter, start writing.
On Mac, use Command instead of CTRL.
CTRL + K → Enter Takes you straight back to the previous channel. Press it over and over to bounce between two scenes, or between a scene and your character sheet.
ALT + Left Arrow / ALT + Right Arrow Back and forward through the threads, channels and DMs you visited recently.
ALT + Click on a message Marks it unread. Read a post but can't reply yet? ALT + Click it and go. It'll still be waiting for you.
CTRL + I Opens your inbox: mentions, tags, unread threads.
WIN + . (Windows emoji panel) Emoji, kaomoji (◕‿◕) and symbols like — é ★ ♪, usable in any text box. Handy for dialogue, names and formatting.
WIN + V (Windows clipboard history) Brings back everything you copied recently. Pin text you use a lot: character intros, post templates, links. Turn it on the first time you press it.
CTRL + / Lists every Discord hotkey.
